CAMP CEDARBROOK NEWS
March 13, 2007
Camp Cedarbrook is excited about the many plans we have in the works to further the dreams for our Camp. Both, now and in the future we will continue to offer unique opportunities to spread the word and worship. Our continued commitment is to plant the seed of service in the hearts of our young people & cultivate a desire to be full-time workers in God’s Kingdom through positive Lutheran camping experiences.
We rely solely on the support of our faithful supporters.
We need your appreciated and continued support to make the dreams for our camp a reality.
One of our current projects is the remodeling of the upstairs sleeping area. We are attempting to solve an overnight accommodation issue with our youth. The existing sleeping quarters have a lopsided dividing split. We need workers for the task of building a wall in the larger room adding (2) additional doors for privacy.
It’s that time of year when we start thinking about cleaning up and cleaning out. Here come the work duds, the sneakers and the heavy gloves. It’s time to do spring-cleaning for the soul.
A workday is planned for Saturday, April 28th. Lunch will be provided. We will be starting at 9 a.m. and finishing as soon as possible. We have many different projects from spring cleaning, building the new upstairs wall & picking up trash and limbs. We will find a job to fit you.
Our directors; Jill McLellen, Executive Director and Sherry Pierce, Director of Development of the camp are extremely excited about all of our future plans and are full of new ideas with the vision of developing Camp Cedarbrook into the most enjoyable retreat experience possible.
We ask that you pray for us and look for continued Cedarbrook updates in our newsletters as well as more information on our new website, which will be going "live" soon. www.cedarbrooklll.com.
